OBJECTIVES

In this proposal Students Will Be Able To:

identify and name the different Egyptian gods and goddesses and their functions
relate the key vocabulary words with their pictures

Target vocabulary in English: god, goddess, sun, health, death, joy, love, music, king, ressurrection, knowledge

Every day from

9.30 to 11:00.

There is no established time for the proposal

DESCRIPTION OF THE ACTIVITY

STEP 1. The students will read some flashcards with information about the Egyptian gods and goddesses.

Ex:

RA. He is the god of the sun

ANUBIS. He is the god of deat

STEP 2. With the key vocabulary of the activity (sun, death, health, joy, music, love, etc), students will have to relate some pictures with the word

STEP 3. Finally, they will choose randomly one strip of paper in which they will have to fill in the information missed about one certain god/goddess.

Plastified pictures and words

SCAFFOLDING

The flashcards include pictures of the main vocabulary so that it is easier to understand it.

The pictures that they will have to relate will be in the previous flashcards, so they can look for the information/vocabulary needed. Also, it is a manipulative task.

They will have an example of one god or goddess done so that they have an idea on how to do it.

ASSESSMENT

Apart from the Traffic light evaluation, it will be used the Gods and goddesses strips of paper as the assessment. They will have to glue this paper to their notebooks and copy the name of all the gods and goddesses.
