SCAFFOLDING

The domino pieces include the image as well as the written word of each vocabulary concept. Moreover, they will have the "It's your turn" physical flashcard that will help them remember to orally say the sentence when playing.

In order to  take into account all cognitive levels (1st, 2nd and 3rd graders) the self-assessment planned gives the low-level students the chance to decide if they prefer drawing the concepts instead of writing them.

What's more, the instructions provide a lot of visual support that complements the text in English so that it is more understandable for all students.

ASSESSMENT

Apart from the Traffic light evaluation, students will have to fill one of the two self-evaluation sheets. For high-level students, the self-evaluation will consist in listing 5 words about Ancient Egypt. Whereas for low-level students it will consist in drawing 3 Ancient Egypt concepts.

Both assessment worksheets will be sticked in their notebooks, which is the only resource that teachers have to check the students' learning process
